ABOUTPhotography as an experienceLidia Russell is based in the Boston area. She specializes in fine art, landscape, nature, contemplative, and storytelling photography. Her photographs were featured in educational and art magazines, in LensCulture Editors' Picks Gallery, in The Print Swap Project Gallery, and in Lenscratch.
Lidia has experience with analogue and pinhole photography as well as with educational, art, and publishing projects. She was a part of Click Academy group using pinhole photography as a means of social change. Her photo project about Abenaki people creation myth and White Mountains region was featured during Re:visions Independent Art Festival in Warsaw, Poland. Her photographs have been on display in various exhibits: at the Photo Place Gallery in Vermont, the Foley Gallery in NYC, the Griffin Museum of Photography in Winchester, MA, the Glasgow Gallery of Photography in Scotland, the Joshua Tree National Park Association Gallery at the JTNP in California, and at other galleries in New York and in Massachusetts. Lidia combines her background as a journalist and publicity professional with her photography to tell stories about landscapes, places, forms of life, moments, and realities behind forms. Her art explores the relationship between landscape, nature, human inner life, and spirit. When she’s not writing about herself in the third person (and not working!), Lidia likes to hike, travel, paint, draw, sculpt, dance, write, meditate, and spend time with her husband. |
